Description of the project impact

The TechFact project aims to address key strategic topics, including sustainability, circular economy, and human wellbeing, with a focus on sustainable and circular manufacturing. It aims to bridge the skills gap in the Italian manufacturing sector by providing education and training opportunities for students in engineering and technical fields, particularly in the context of Industry 4.0 technologies.

The project's main objectives are to develop guidelines for designing Learning Spaces (LS) for engineering students, create pedagogical knowledge for designing Learning Activities (LA) that align with the project's goals, and ultimately reduce the skill gap in Italy's manufacturing sector. The project also seeks to support the competitiveness of Italian companies and promote teaching innovations in Teaching Factories (TFs).

TechFact plans to engage a wide educational community, including universities, technical schools, vocational institutes, and industrial academies. The project aims to involve secondary school teachers and students, fostering an interest in STEM disciplines. It also intends to establish connections with international Teaching Factories through the International Association of Learning Factories (IATF).

Key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project include training a significant number of students, conducting various learning activities, and organizing events to engage professionals, technicians, and schools. Additionally, the project aims to publish scientific papers and promote its results through newsletters, social media, and dedicated websites. It plans to participate in international scientific conferences to disseminate project advancements and outcomes.
